Dan Downey

Dr. Downey grew up in Kalispell, MT. He grew up surrounded by healthcare workers. His mother was a nurse, father a dentist, and his grandfather was also a doctor. Dr. Downey chose the medical profession because of his love of science and the important role models he found in his family who taught him the values of this helping profession. Dr. Downey earned his medical degree from the University of Washington through the WWAMI program. After five years in Albuquerque, NM for his orthopedic residency and a year of fellowship training, Dr. Downey returned to Montana to start his practice. Dr. Downey has been an orthopedic surgeon in Dillon, MT for 25 years. Dr. Downey currently resides in Dillon with his lovely wife and their two dogs. They enjoy hikes to the M trail and their travel adventures.

Medical School: University of Washington School of Medicine, Seattle, Washington, 1980-1984.

 

Residency: University of New Mexico, Albuquerque, NM, 1987-1992, Orthopedic Residency.
