Jenny Given came naturally to behavioral health work. Growing up as a child of a Psychiatric Occupational Therapist and residing with her parents on the grounds of the Montana State Hospital provided many opportunities for the development of strong empathy, acceptance, and advocacy. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Social Work degree from Lewis Clark State College in 2007, and a Master’s degree in Social Work from Boise State University in 2010. Jenny works collaboratively with the medical providers at Barrett Hospital &HealthCare to provide psychotherapy to the patients they refer. Jenny also works in the Emergency Room with patients who are in emotional crisis. In addition to her license as a Clinical Social Worker and her certification as a Daring Way facilitator, Jenny is also a Licensed Addiction Counselor with several years of experience in an inpatient treatment facility.
