Barrett Hospital & HealthCare is a Non-Profit
What does this mean? For one thing, our priority will always be to serve our community with the best care and resources. Unlike for-profit organizations, which must earn profits for private owners and/or stockholders, a non-profit is legally and ethically bound to “do good” for the benefit of the community. Our earnings are reinvested for the benefit of the community.
Why Non-Profit is For You
Because Barrett Hospital & HealthCare is a non-profit organization, we’re guided by a different set of rules and core beliefs than a for-profit health system. Here are just some of the ways Barrett Hospital & HealthCare is all for you:
-
We put people—not profits—first.
-
We provide excellence, innovation and value in terms of convenience, compassion, service, cost and quality.
-
You are at the center of a first-class healthcare team.
-
We help you develop a personalized health journey to achieve your unique goals.
-
Every person we serve receives the same high level of care, regardless of your insurance plan or ability to pay.
Community Owned
We’re accountable to you, not a group of shareholders in another location. Our financial gains support the continuation and growth of services that we can sustain in a community our size. They also provide much-needed services to underinsured, uninsured, and charity patients, even when it means we receive no reimbursement.
