Orthopedics and Sports Medicine

The orthopedic specialists at Barrett Hospital & HealthCare are here when you need us. You can expect compassionate care from highly qualified bone and muscle specialists providing comprehensive orthopedics and sports medicine for patients of all ages.  Patients in need of an orthopedist are often in a lot of pain, and in addition to treating your condition, our orthopedic specialists will work with you to feel better as a whole by discussing the problem, how it’s affecting your life, and what you are hoping treatment will accomplish.

What to Expect From an Orthopedist

The focus of orthopedic medicine is on the musculoskeletal system-the muscles, bones, cartilage, ligaments, joints, and more that support your body.  When standard treatments prove ineffective, your primary care physician should refer you to an orthopedist.

A visit to an orthopedist may be necessary if you experience:

  • A chronic pain in the joints, feet, shoulders, or muscles

  • Having back pain

  • An injury sustained while playing sports

  • A torn ACL, MCL, or Meniscus

  • Bone fractures

  • A broken hip

  • Having arthritis

  • Osteoporosis
