Barrett Hospital & HealthCare is a four-time recipient for being a
Top 20 Critical Access Hospital of the 20 highest ranked Critical Access Hospitals (CAHs) in the nation by National Rural Health Association (NRHA). Critical access hospitals make up approximately twenty-five percent of hospitals in the United States; there are over 1300 in the nation, with 50 critical access hospitals in Montana.

Barrett Hospital & HealthCare is a ten-time recipient for being ranked in the TOP 100 Critical Access Hospitals in the nation by Chartis Center for Rural Health’s Top 100 CAHs. Rankings are based on more than 50 Individual indicators and a composite measure of inpatient and outpatient, market share, quality, and outcomes, patent perspectives, charges, cost and financial stability.
American College of Radiology Gold Seal of Accreditation
Barrett Hospital & HealthCare’s Mammography Department receives a gold seal of accreditation in mammography by the American College of Radiology (ACR). The ACR gold seal of accreditation represents the highest level of image quality and patient safety. It is awarded only to facilities meeting ACR Practice Parameters and Technical Standards after a peer-review evaluation by board-certified physicians and medical physicists who are experts in the field. Image quality, personnel qualifications, adequacy of facility equipment, quality control procedures and quality assurance programs are assessed.
