Amanda House graduated from Spokane Falls Community College in 2014 with her Associate degree in Applied Science. She has worked in a variety of clinical settings, including outpatient orthopedics, acute care, long term care, skilled nursing, home health, pediatrics, and aquatics. She has extensive experience in a variety of pool-based interventions, tailoring to patients who may have limitations for land-based therapy, plus certification in LSVT BIG/LOUD, which focuses on specialized treatment for patients diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease and other neurological deficits. She helps lead our Big For Life program, keeping patients active and living to their full potential. Prior to a career change to be a PTA, Amanda worked as a licensed massage practitioner (LMP) for 14 years, specializing in a variety of manual techniques which can benefit many of our patients including: pre-natal massage, injury rehabilitation, deep tissue, and scar mobilization. Throughout her career, Amanda has combined professional and personal interests, promoting and teaching overall wellness, stress management, and an active lifestyle. She enjoys spending time with her dog and horses, horseback riding and horse showing, hunting, fishing, camping and snowboarding. These experiences allow her to understand and help a wide variety of people looking to return to a hobby they love or improve their performance in general. Amanda has been with Barrett Hospital & HealthCare since 2016.
