Hospital Discharge Information When you are discharged from the hospital, this transition requires the successful transfer of information from provider to the patient and family, which will help reduce adverse events and prevent readmissions in the future. Engaging patients and families in the discharge planning process helps make this transition both safe and effective. Please pay close attention to your medication instructions upon your hospital discharge. You will be sent home with paper instructions, but please be sure to ask questions to confirm your understanding of your medication schedule. Also, please don’t hesitate to ask any questions or bring up any concerns that you may have before going home. We’re here to help you and will answer any question that you have, no matter how big or small.

She has worked in a variety of clinical settings, including outpatient orthopedics, acute care, long term care, skilled nursing, home health, pediatrics, and aquatics. She has extensive experience in a variety of pool-based interventions, tailoring to patients who may have limitations for land-based therapy, plus certification in LSVT BIG/LOUD, which focuses on specialized treatment for patients diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease and other neurological deficits. She helps lead our Big For Life program, keeping patients active and living to their full potential. Prior to a career change to be a PTA, Amanda worked as a licensed massage practitioner (LMP) for 14 years, specializing in a variety of manual techniques which can benefit many of our patients including: pre-natal massage, injury rehabilitation, deep tissue, and scar mobilization. He completed his medical school training at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland and a Urologic Surgery residency at the Brady Urologic Institute at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. During his residency he gained experience treating men, women, and children for the spectrum of urologic conditions, and he is one of only three urologists in Montana who treats children for urologic issues. Dr. Readal is board certified in urology by the American Board of Urology. He treats the full spectrum of urologic disorders in adults and children including both benign and cancerous disorders of the urinary tract, voiding disorders, urinary incontinence, stone disease, fertility, and sexual disorders. In his spare time, he enjoys floating on our famed rivers of Southwest Montana, hiking in the mountains with his wife and dogs, and carpentry and masonry projects in his home. Dr. Readal has been providing care to the people of Southwestern Montana since 2015 and joined Barrett Hospital & HealthCare in 2024 to continue providing that care in Dillon and the surrounding areas.
